Aghababa Baghirov (1997) focuses mainly on contemporary art, video games, digital art, VR / AR. He graduated from Baku State University with a degree in Computer Science. After graduation, he is engaged in computer games, contemporary art, and at the same time, virtual reality technology. These interests came from his childhood, and at the age of 12 he developed his first computer games. Aghababa, through his great interest in art, is making connections between technology and art by creating contemporary art. His main source of inspiration is the relationship between humans, nature and technology. The presence of game elements in his artworks encourages the audience to engage in dialogue with the concept.
Aghababa won the ARTIM lab 2020 project with artwork - "To be a Homo Ludens". Various works of the artist were exhibited at Yarat contemporary art space (2021) ARTIM Project Space (2020), Yarat Studios (2019/2020), Khachmaz State Gallery(2020). Aghababa currently lives and works in Baku.
